The Artist: Gala Knorr, a young artist of Baque origin.
Significance: I had the privilege of attending the same boarding school as Gala. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that she was as artistic then as she is now. After studying Fine Arts at Parsons, she had her first show, "TURN ON TUNE IN" in 2007 and has been going strong ever since. Her travels around Europe and America leaves her work to speak for itself really... I mean, her portraits are like palettes of color and imagination meshed into this world of indie culture and whimsical abstractism, challenging us to just go out and just live life--its like a real live 'What dreams may come' senario. Some call this sort of ideal "poetry in motion."
Her next showing is at the PENNED Exhibition in Lump Gallery, Raleigh, NC (March 6th-28th). Be sure to show some love!
