Collection: Arise Africa Fashion Collective RTW Fall 09'
New York Fashion Week is a place designers go to showcase their creativity. I give many thanks to Arise Magazine in collaboration with Thisday who gave our African designers a chance to showcase their talent.
Here comes the ONLY negative aspect I saw (everyone is entitled to their opinions): I thought some of the designers didn't take enough risks with their pieces (played it a bit too safe). But that's just me. All in all, nice work! Props to them!
I really appreciated the embellished shift dresses and purple& black numbers from the Tiffany Amber collection.

I 2ND UR THOUGHTS, MY ONLY THING IS THAT I HOPE THESE DESIGNERS ARE NOT THERE BECAUSE OF WHO THEY KNOW. THE CLOTHES ARE NICE,BUT THIS IS WHY I TEND TO APPRECIATE PARIS FASHION WEEK MORE THAN NYC. NYC SEEMS MORE ABOUT WHO YOU KNOW.
