Fashion CatFIght!
Oscar de la Renta has already kinda-sorta retracted his critique of MObama's choice of European designers on The View, but Azzedine Alaïa has put in his two cents worth on her choice of some of his pieces on her trip (including the much maligned cardi). According to Women's Wear Daily, Alaïa commented that “It’s not up to [de la Renta] to give her lessons; Michelle Obama is of her time; Oscar de la Renta is no longer.” Oh, SNAAAAAAP! Looks like the couple's becoming as mythical across the pond as they are on this side of the Atlantic.
In the words of "The Cut": Hissssssssssssss. LOL. In my own words: Meeeeeeoooow!

Hahaha! I've read this on a few blogs now! crazy yo!
Personal opinion is that de la Renta had something up his derrier.. The man needs to relax or retire.
Well, Michelle Obama needs to up the anti with her designer choices! bring it back home!
Anonymous 3:29 PM, I think that comment of her bringing home is one of the most ignorant things i've seen.
ps: Read the title of the blog. its indicative of anything foreign, cultured, and in my opinion, fabulous. You really need to find some other site to write your bullshit banter on!
I think that it's really sad when any kind of professional attacks another in a difficult time. This is a tough time for the luxury business as a whole; de la Renta needs to stop hating and start appreciating. Is he that broke? Probably not...Maybe if he stops needlessly attacking Michelle Obama and sticks to designing, he'll make something she'll wear.
