GlObetRotting...

I've always wanted to visit Havana. There's something mysterious about this amazing-looking city...I guess since it's been isolated from the international community for decades, the city has a unique charm. Havana seems to have all the necessary components of a Caribbean holiday: gorgeous architecture, vibrant culture and people, dancing and BEACHES! :P The colors and vibrancy remind me of Miami, but the city obviously has a much deeper connection
to its past due to its isolation...who hasn't seen the iconic images of 1950s era cars and fashion in twenty-first century Havana?

According to a recent article on the New York Times online, U.S. officials had a five-day meeting in Cuba--including meetings with Fidel Castro and his brother, Raul. Currently visiting Cuba requires U.S. residents to fly to another country first, and even then its best not to get your passport stamped. Maybe this will change sometime in the not-too-distant future...
